Once I'd verified that the idea worked, I put it on the shelf for six months while I went and did other stuff. Then I set it up on the dining room table, shooed away the cats and got out tripod and 35mm camera. No motor drive or winder, but a look at my watch gave me a fairly consistent rate of one frame every two seconds. (The GIF is animated at roughly 8x realtime). Despite the tripod, none of the slides quite matched up. (Next time I lock the mirror up and get a winder and a remote trigger.) So I twiddled them until the outlines of the bottles and the wire frame all mostly matched up. Then I got rid ofthe background because it was ugly (and it made the GIF smaller). Next up will be pictures of glowing pickles or something simple. |
